Exeter Mosque – EMBook
Exeter Mosque was first established in 1978 and has gone on to be the South West’s first purpose-built mosque. They have been growing their organisation to meet with community needs and have recently started investing heavily into technology.
How we helped …
Goal
COVID-19 has meant that normal services at the mosque had to cease, this inevitably meant that the mosque had to adapt some of their approaches at delivering services for the community.
An online booking system for Jummah prayer was created, however, COVID-19 restrictions meant that the mosque had to restrict this already strict booking system. Overall, the current services were not specialised enough for the requirements of the mosque.
Our Work
There was a positive outcome to the work carried out by Maghrib Media. We delivered a bespoke service for the mosque; creating an online booking system which allows the mosque admins to view bookings, export attendance lists and allow worshippers to book their Jummah spot. This ensured that the mosque was able to organise and deliver a service which is loved by the community, thus confirming that COVID-19 will not ruin the unity and spirit shown during Jummah prayers.
We further improved the software by adding Taraweeh bookings for them. This was a feature which was requested later. We created and tested the feature within a short period of time.
Our team kindly added a donation feature as a gesture of goodwill so that Exeter Mosque could take advantage of the generosity during Ramadan.
Outcome
During the delivery of the service, Maghrib Media continued providing early life support by ensuring very quick changes and bug fixes.
This is reflected by praise provided by the team at the Mosque: “Amazing service. Very well done, had everything we need.”
We are thrilled with this feedback and will continue providing, supporting and enhancing this service on a regular basis.
